The ABC approved a new Heritage Medical Equipment CEU Course: Orthotic Use in Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction.
Live Presentation: 2 Scietific Credits
Webinar: 1.5 Scientific Credits
Posterior tibial tendon dysfunction (PTTD) is one of the most common problems of the foot and ankle. It occurs when the posterior tibial tendon becomes inflamed or torn. This often results in flatfoot. Most patients can be treated without surgery, using orthotics and braces.
This presentation analyzes recent scientific studies surrounding the use of orthotics as treatment options for posterior tibial tendon dysfunction. The live presentation will include a casting for a Premier Ankle Brace - paying special attention to heel posting. A sample will be built by Townsend from the cast.
