Husband, father, fisherman, sailor, and amateur ultimate fighter Garret "G-Money" Chelius sports his new TKO Boxer Fracture Splint. When asked about the injury during a recent interview G-Money remained illusive, only stating "you should see the other guy".
Chelius removed his ace bandage and plaster cast last Monday. The bulky contraption was protecting a nasty 5th metacarpal fracture he received in Montauk, NY. Donning the low-profile TKO he immediately went swimming with his three children. "This thing saved my summer," he was overheard saying.
After swimming G-Money competed in a heated bocce tournament. Unfortunately in sports as in life one rarely gets to compete at 100%. The tourney was not his strongest outing. And the TKO Boxer Fracture Splint on his right hand could not be blamed for his poor play. G-Money was throwing lefty.
So it came down to the last round of a tied match. Chelius knowing he didn't have the right stuff that afternoon handed the game to his son and teammate, Christopher. The six-year old phenom from Louisville carried his old man to victory, winning on the last bocce ball that possibly could have been thrown.
"This is for all the marbles" Christopher Chelius said while confidently winding up for the game-winning toss. It was an exciting day for bocce, swimming, and bracing. The losing team could not be reached for comment.
