Post Op Knee Brace

The ROM SS is a great choice for a post op knee brace.  This post operative solution is adjustable in height, has range-of-motion hinges, drop locks, and a choice of full foam pads, or partial foam (pictured above).

This is an inexpensive post op brace that is universal in size.  That means less inventory sitting on your shelf.

Why use a post operative knee brace?  Post op braces are often called range of motion knee braces.

The hinges on these braces are designed with flexion and extension stops.  This means a doctor can specify exactly how far a knee is allowed to bend or straighten.  Generally speaking these braces have long hinges that control the leg and knee.  The longer the hinge (lever arm) the better.  

A post op knee is usually applied after surgery so the healing process can be controlled, monitored, adjusted, and recorded.  It is important that the person fitting a post op brace understands the surgeon's intentions.  The hinges on these braces can be set in 5 degree increments, so hinge placement and adjustment needs to be precise.
